Art of the Avant-Garde in Russia

It offers a comprehensive overview of the revolutionary artistic movements in Russia between 1910 and 1930, including Suprematism, Constructivism, and Futurism. Artists such as Kazimir Malevich, Vladimir Tatlin, El Lissitzky, Lyubov Popova, and Alexander Rodchenko are featured.
In addition to more than 250 illustrations, the book includes essays by art historians that illuminate the cultural, political, and ideological context of the avant-garde in the early Soviet period. It shows how artists experimented with form, color, and space to imagine a new, utopian world in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution.
