In the book ‘Adventures in Conceptualism’, Kristoffer L. Weiss, the editor of ‘The New Wave in Danish Architecture’ explores the work of architectural offices working in a strongly conceptual manner, including BIG, MVRDV, Snøhetta and FREE.

The book highlights signature projects through interviews and essays, examining the motivations behind Scandinavia’s most radical contemporary architecture. It tells the story of how globalization has affected local building traditions, focusing on a group of architects who are sensitive to the character of the regional. The architects featured, work beyond the straitjacket of the stylish to explore the possibilities of each local site and building program.

The book features interviews with Aaron Betsky, Bjarke Ingles, Dan Stubbergaard, Farshid Moussavi, Francois Blanciak, Kamiel Klaasse, Kim Herforth Nielsen, Kjetil Traedal Thorsen, Peer Teglgaard Jeppesen and an essay by Boris Brorman Jensen.
