The unknown civil war in Soviet Russia

In depth study of the “Unknown Civil War” (also called the “Green Movement” or peasant rebellions) in the Tambov region. The rebellion was a massive grassroots uprising from 1920 to 1922 by rural farmers against the Bolshevik government in Soviet Russia. Driven to starvation by the heavy-handed grain requisitions of War Communism, these peasant armies fought the Red Army in over 100 regional uprisings, most notably in the Tambov region.
