Monali Meher haar performances, installaties, objecten, foto’s en video’s getuigen van haar zoektocht naar het definiëren van het lichaam als een probleemplek van tijd- en ruimteverbindingen of wederzijdse uitbreidingen. Naast deze zoektocht trekt Monali Meher een ontologische gedachte, tijd die de menselijke essentie en evolutie beïnvloedt. Het is een noodzaak voor haar om haar lichaam, stem en emoties in de ruimte te gebruiken met de onmiddellijke nabijheid van milieu-, sociale en politieke aspecten. Haar uitvoeringen zijn atmosferisch, soms ritualistisch en omvatten vaak rekwisieten van verschillende aard. Ze tonen de cyclische cirkels van vernietiging en vernieuwing, evenals formele en conceptuele ideeën binnen het kader van persoonlijke verwijzingen die de fragiele scheidslijn tussen haar leven en kunst informeren.

Monali Meher’s performances, installations, objects, photos and videos bear witness to her quest to define the body as a problem place of time and space connections or mutual extensions. In addition to this quest, Monali Meher draws an ontological thought, time that influences human essence and evolution. It is a necessity for her to use her body, voice and emotions in space with immediate proximity to environmental, social and political aspects. Her performances are atmospheric, at times ritualistic, and often include props of various kinds. They show the cyclical circles of destruction and renewal, as well as formal and conceptual ideas within the framework of personal references that inform the fragile dividing line between her life and art.
