This book gives information on all armored fighting vehicles that er at present (1971) in service, from the old Sherman to the leopard and beyond. It also covers some of the many vehicles that are present in the development stage.

The types of vehicles covered include tanks, armored cars, light fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled guns and specialized vehicles. Wherever possible full data is given, including development history, list of variants and a list of user countries. The text is enhanced with more than 200 photographs.
