The first edition of this book was very popular and hard to get hold of, so this expanded and revised edition will be welcomed by many people who couldn’t get hold of the first edition – and even many of those who did have it. Eight extra pages describe and illustrate the new taxa and cultivars since the first edition, plus there are additional pictures of those in the first edition. Lithops remain the most popular of Mesembs and are widely grown, so the cultivation information in addition to the descriptions and being able to see what they typically look like makes this a most useful book.
